Kolber is a native of Pennsylvania earned a doctoral education from University of Miami. Her career in the field began when she was a Video Coordinator at CBS Sports, New York City. She was awarded an Sports Emmy while working at WTVJ-TV, Miami. She worked at WPLG-TV, Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach. In 1993, she joined ESPN and was selected as one of the first anchors for ESPN2 after it's launch during the same year.
